Prince charming coming back home in the evening, Missy is all set for the night with her prince but not without a super hot meal set first for him. Prince seem excited that something new may be up for dinner but annoyingly its another of the usual. He is frustrated through the meal and it is Cinderella who gets to suffer the coldness that arises from this frustration back in bed.

Of course you are familiar with the rest of the story, I mean you can imagine the so many episodes that can be a follow up to this. One of such episodes could be an ALL-NEW-STARRING of Miss Intruder who thinks she has a brand new menu to grease Prince's lips and wet his appetite.

Bottom line, girls, this is definitely one of the sharp shooters of a normally happy married life. Of course I know my chics are forming with their own issues e.g, women liberation, "I didn't come into his life just to be his cook", etc, and I do understand so please air your views in the comment box and let's hear ourselves.

However my point exactly, for now (as far as Africa is concerned, considering the state of our enlightenment level)  while it may be good to be skillful in the kitchen with the recipes you learnt from your mother, do well to learn as much as you can of other recipes other than hers. Learn from your friends, from his mother, learn from online recipe blogs, from Tv recipe series, from a catering school if possible, learn every recipe you can lay hands on (remember the old saying; variety is the spice of life ). Unknown to most ladies this is one of the trusted way to keep the romance in your home like forever. I know we all have our arguements to make as ladies, but come to think of it, after all is said and done, a happy marriage life with an ever glowing romance is what every African woman desires in her secret heart. Cheers!!

I had earlier announced the wedding of Popular gospel music artiste Jahdiel and Eben who had their native law and custom (traditional marriage) yesterday at Ikota, Lekki Lagos, at Jahdiel's father's compound. If you didn't know before, Jahdiel is from Uromi of Edo state and her dad is a pastor of  D.G.M where the white wedding will be holding this weekend. A QUICK WAY A WIFE CAN KILL THE ROMANCE IN A YOUNG MARRIAGE

Weddings oh weddings! I love weddings, especially the quickly accompanying honeymoon romance. I love the wedding night excitement and the beautiful love tonic that stimulate the couple in the early days of marriage life.

Seeing how quickly the fun, spark and romance in many a young marriages dies off, I decided to carry out a research of my own to study the causes of early marriage cracks. Today's post is one of the findings I made from my research.It has been said repeatedly, especially here in Africa, that a lady who doesn't know how to cook is heading for a hell of a marriage life. Also, it might interest you to know that being a good student of mama's kitchen ain't completely a way out of that hell; in fact scoring an A from mum's school might actually be a snare of some sort.

Okay let me explain! Now, it is obvious that a lady who can't cook simply doesn't stand a good chance of getting a guy to propose (at least that is 99% certain here in Nigeria and most African countries as of today). So it means the said growing love relationship is nipped at the bud, that is the guy quickly runs away because he finds out that Cinderella cannot cook. Well the good thing about this is that the lady's deficiency is very glaring such that the guy does his worst fast enough to prevent a heartbreak.

But as a lady who can cook very well (though with a certain clause) you might be in for a problem. So what's the clause? Yes, if you can cook ONLY YOUR MUM'S MENU very well then you are definitely going to enter that trap. Now here's how the drama goes. 

Cinderella scored an A from the school of Mummy's Super Recipes; prince charming comes along and learns how skills Missy is in the kitchen after tasting a couple of her delicacies; the wedding plans are fast tracked and ROYALTY OKASIONS is contracted to plan the wedding (*oh! Royalty Okasions is my wedding planning outfit* ;-)) and a grand wedding is organized. Fast forward >>> to 3months later, prince charming is driving off for work and is not feeling too happy. Wondering why he is unhappy? he gets to find out that in the last week or so his meals have been quite of a routine and this morning's was another repetition of the usual meal circle. Funny enough, he discovers that he is even missing his own mothers meal and of course some of the varieties he enjoyed from the different eateries in town.

MASS WEDDING OF 250 WIDOWS AND WIDOWERS TO HOLD IN SOKOTO STATE

The Sokoto State Government said on Sunday that it would give out in a mass wedding, 250 widows and widowers across the state to give them a new lease of life.

Alhaji Zubairu Goronyo, the state Commissioner for Social Development, who announced this at the screening of the beneficiaries in Sokoto, said that the venture would gulp N30 million. According to him, a date will soon be fixed for the exercise. 

A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, who witnessed the screening that was done to establish the health status of the beneficiaries, reported that it was handled by various committees.

Alhaji Zubairu said that beds, mattresses, sets of chairs, curtains and two sets of female wrappers would be given to each of the 125 brides. He said that similarly, the grooms would be given two sets of guinea brocade, N20,000 each as dowry to formalize the marriage agreement, and another N20,000 each to boost their businesses.

The commissioner said that the state governor, Alhaji Aliyu Wamakko, and the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, would serve as guardians to the brides and grooms at the ceremony.
‘The exercise is going to be on a quarterly basis, so as to enable more potential brides and grooms to benefit,” he said
